My passion for woodwork began when I was a young boy making things in the family garden shed.
My enthusiasm was nurtured at school and I used all opportunities of work experience to spend time working with a local bespoke kitchen makers.
From school I did a three-year City & Guilds Carpentry and Joinery course in Advanced Craft and achieved a Distinction in the practical exams.
I then went on to complete a three-year approved apprenticeship in Cambridge working on the refurbishment of some of the city's historic university college buildings including Trinity, King's, Hometon and the construction of the new Isaac Newton Institute For Mathematical Sciences that opened in 1992.
After my apprenticeship, as a fully qualified Cabinet Maker, I began making bespoke furniture in my workshop and became employed by Kilby & Gayford, an Architectural Joinery company.
After seven years with the firm I became a foreman leading a team of craftsmen on the construction of the foyer and reception area of world renowned architect Lord Norman
Foster's offices at Riverside 1, Chelsea.
Other projects included working alongside English Heritage making and fitting display cabinets for Royal garments and historical artefacts at Kensington Palace. I was also involved in working on display cabinets at prestige stores Harrods and Selfridges and refurbishment commissions at the Canadian and South Korean embassies and the London home of King Hussein of Jordan.
In 1999 I left Kilby & Gayford to set up my own Cabinet Making & Joinery Business and now specialise in the design, manufacture and installation of handmade bespoke kitchens and furniture of the very highest quality.
My company's philosophy is simple - to create beautiful, handmade kitchens and furniture that reflects the customer's personal tastes and lifestyle and complements their home.
